Capping off the summer of 2018 with the official video for Summertime.
I’ve been diving into visuals more and decided it was time to take on a video for myself. I spent the early part of this summer both collecting and creating miniatures to build into a junky old room from my imagination. I filled it with things that represent me and decided what more to create a summertime video than by literally creating the summer. Using mixed media elements through stop motion, green screen and a lot of editing I was able to achieve my summertime dream sequence. Watch and enjoy and please pass along if you like it. It’s not so easy being an independent artist these days and every whisper is important!

The brand new video for my latest song 'Nothing'.
This song was created thinking of where we all go in that Nothingness head space and the comfort and danger that waits there.
I have been a fan of my friend Ryan Weibust and his childhood friend Chris Shonting's production company Unproduction and when it was decided that Nothing was going to be the lead single off a new record, I knew right away that they were the team that could bring it to the visual level it deserves.
As a person finding passion in the visual worlds of art and film and as a creator of visuals for projects of my own and others' ( Check out the stop motion video I just made for Czarface and MF DOOM that premiered this week-- HERE !) I wanted to make sure that this song was brought to life through the perfect team and story and Unproduction did just that.
I gave the guys the song and lyrics and a brief about what it meant to me when I wrote it. They took it from there and created a narrative unique and stand alone along with a use of the color Orange in the theme to represent the Nothingness. We are both mutual fans of Roman Polanski, Sam Raimi among many other significant film makers things of the eerie and this seemed to pair perfectly with the dark undertones to the song. Thank you to the incredible team involved in the making of this video..

I created this playlist on Spotify celebrating some of the women musicians in my life. Whether we have shared a stage, a hang or a song, these women constantly inspire me. The music business is a tough thing to navigate.. The music part is great but the business part can be taxing on your soul. It's great to know other women doing it on their own and making things happen.. It's called Good Girls Gone Bad because these here are some bad babes!!!!!
